Breakaway Tutoring at Mendham - Physical Fitness Training

Breakaway Tutoring at Mendham - Physical Fitness TrainingBreakaway tutoring is a course of physical training for young people, which concentrates on learning how to avoid injury. This activity aims to improve strength, flexibility and stamina, and offers some mental benefits as well, such as learning how to work with one another. The training in the Breakaway Mentor course is provided by teachers at various places including Mendham College, West Buckingham, in Worcestershire. Taught by Maria Joseph, the course is designed to train parents as well as their children to accept the fact that physical fitness is of paramount importance for all. Joseph says that breaking a habit is essential for anyone, and that is why a good breakaway programme will allow parents to encourage and support their children and teach them the importance of fitness.Maria Joseph is based at Mendham College, West Buckingham, where she teaches parents and children at the school's Fitness for All program. Maria says that the program runs three times a week, and is part of the main facility at the college. A 'fitness team' with members of staff including Maria are provided to ensure that parents have access to what they need, and that this is undertaken safely. At the centre of the fitness training at Mendham is the Breakaway Mentor course, which includes activities such as ball work, or the development of the participants' ball skills. In ball work, the ball is moved from hand to hand on a surface like a gym mat. It is the participants' duty to keep the ball from rolling off the surface and getting injured. The activities also include a fitness session in which each child is required to do a specific amount of push ups or sit ups, and at the end of the session there is time for a cool down and yoga-style stretching. The level of training needed to reach the Breakaway Mentor status is high, but it is being added to as the program gains in popularity.Breakaway Tutoring at Mendham is taught in a gr oup environment with parents being taught first-hand how to properly perform the activity in a fun and relaxing environment. An instructor guides the adults, who are there to stay fit and healthy for the whole family.Taking part in the Breakaway Mentoring program at Mendham is very important for the children, as it teaches them all the things they should be doing to get physically fit. Being able to work with the rest of the group helps a lot in terms of coordination, and makes for a happy and safe environment. There are several activities planned throughout the year, and while there are some exercises that are only suitable for kids, many are actually suitable for adults as well. There are also break sessions where the participants are encouraged to interact with each other and with other volunteers and are also advised on what to eat and drink during this time. The organizers of the program have also tried to cover as many aspects of a good exercise regime as possible, in order to make Breakaway Tutoring Mendham an enjoyable experience for everyone.
